Eurofarma wins the award for Best M&A Strategy of the Year
The M&A Connect Awards recognize companies that stood out for innovation, impact, and success in their transactions in recent years
São Paulo, April 4, 2025 – Eurofarma, a Brazilian-owned multinational operating in 24 countries, won the Best Strategy (Low Cap) of the year award at the M&A Connect Awards. The event, which celebrates the central role of mergers and acquisitions in the evolution of companies within the Brazilian market, took place at the Brazilian British Centre headquarters on the night of April 3.
This was the inaugural edition of the awards, promoted by Leaders League, an international ranking and business services agency focused on Law, Private Equity and Financial Services, Human Capital, Innovation & Marketing, and Wealth Management. The specialized jury used innovation, industry impact, transaction complexity, and stakeholder value creation as evaluation criteria.
The recognition followed three major acquisitions by Eurofarma in recent years: Genfar, the company's generics operation in Latin America (excluding Brazil); Medimetriks, an American operation in the dermatology market; and Laboratório Canonne, which owned brands such as Valda, Fixaderme, and Practivar, among others.
Last year, Eurofarma was also recognized in another award promoted by Leaders League, winning in the category of Best Legal Department in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
